About this deal

These capable cameras should be solid and well-built, have both the speed and focus to capture fast action and offer professional-level image quality. It’s not the sharpest lens I’ve ever shot, far from it, but it is by far the sharpest fast aperture lens that I’ve ever shot in this segment. The wordpress gallery algorithm/compression makes the images look really soft and weird unless you go to the lower right hand corner and press full size. Bokeh for both looks similar; good at close distances, but at some mid-distances can look a bit busy.

It exhibits a slight bit of barrel distortion as well as a little bit of optical vignetting near the corners, but this has no effect on the way I use this lens on a day-to-day basis. One final thing to note regarding the build quality is that the this lens will mount onto your X-Pro3 without ruining your lens mount release button like some of the early Viltrox lenses did. I use these lenses for creative output, and I tend to use whatever shortcomings they might have to my advantage. did a fairly decent job of covering the larger full frame image circle, but that’s not the case here. Even though the coating on this lens is quite great, you can definitely make it flare in many situations.

Quick note about the images: Covid cases are very high in NYC now, so I’ve been keeping my picture taking down to a minimum. As I said before, instead of this lens being used only for specific moments, it can serve as a lens I would use for “normal” shooting as well. But I feel that when I’m shooting wide open with a lens like this one, having the corners being a bit weaker is okay. Globalement , je trouve que le 7 Artisans a de meilleurs ronds de bokeh (plus rond à partir de F2 grâce à ses 12 lames de diaphragme plutôt que 10) .

The sharpness is also best at close ranges, and you can definitely see declining resolution at the furthest distances. If you don’t already own the Mitakon, and you’re on the lookout for one of these lenses it’s a no brainer. I meet up with a model online from around the world, and thanks to modern technology, I can control her camera through my computer with the camera app or Capture One. The Bokeh balls are very good wide open : well circular, but becomes a little bit less good with aperture closed down (some fringing visible at F2. Flare wasn’t an issue for me under normal shooting conditions, so the fact that a lens hood was not included, is okay.Les ronds de Bokeh sont très bons à pleine ouverture : bien circulaires, mais quand on ferme vers F2. If you want a bag that doesn't look like a camera bag or prefer to make your own DIY solutions, they're worth a look. This is truly another great third party lens to come out for the Fujifilm system, and I highly recommend it. When I started shooting them side-by-side I did find that there were some slight differences but that was all about field of view and not about image quality.

This means that you can use higher shutter speeds (one stop), or reduce ISO (one stop) to achieve the same exposure as you would with the f/1.Mitakon is using aluminum helicoid with two sliding brass guiders – like it’s done in Zeiss/Voigtlander lens. Thank you for Nice review to explain things in such great detail in a way that is easy to understand. It can present high-resolution illustrations and get the dreamy bokeh while maintaining a compact shape of 62mm and a light weight of about 398g. There's a similarity to the way the images look but that look is shared by most of the Chinese lens makers. These lenses are good if you are looking for something that has a soft rendering at portrait / close distances.

7Artisans 35mm F0.95 Review and Images - DustinAbbott.net

There are no electronics in the lens, so you won’t get any EXIF reporting, and there isn’t any weathersealing. Contrast at very wide apertures is low, with some prominent chromatic aberrations at wide apertures that clear up significantly by F2 but haven’t yet disappeared altogether. But I have to say again that the flaring that this lens produces is absolutely stunning and can be used to great effect.I use it on an older X-T2, and don't use CAF; only simple small-point SAF for my shooting, and it works absolutely fine like that. I ended up with both the 7Artisans 12mm and the Laowa 9mm (long story) and I’ve decided to keep the Laowa and sell the 7Artisans as I like the wider angle. I will probably get a model shoot going to further test this lens, so stay tune for the full review, which should be coming out soon. Combined with its relatively compact size, and it’s overall image quality, this one lens could be the only 75mm equivalent that you need. But don't like noisy autofocus, lack of manual focus precision, and extra camera delays when previewing shots.
