Daisy and Hazel think baby Teddy is enough to deal with, but as always the girls are never far from a mystery. Lorsque Daisy Wells et Hazel Wong fondent leur agence de détectives privés, elles espèrent débusquer une enquête digne de ce nom. Schoolgirl detectives Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong are at Daisy's home, Fallingford, for the holidays. Death Sets Sail sees Daisy and Hazel in Egypt, taking a cruise along the Nile — and hoping to see some ancient temples, or maybe a mummy or two? Set in the 1930s in a quintessentially English boarding school, the series has been described as “Agatha Christie meets Enid Blyton”. We love the period details: Daisy and Hazel even get a trip on the Orient Express, just like Hercule Poirot, in book 3 First Class Murder. Author Robin Stevens is a huge murder mystery fan and says that she always wanted to be Agatha Christie when she grew up. Her passion for whodunnits shines through in this award-winning young fiction series. The stories are charming and funny but also dramatic, gripping and hair-raising in parts - certainly not for the faint-hearted but readers will love solving the mysteries themselves.

May Wong has returned with her new friends Eric and Nuala as the heroes of my newest series the Ministry of Unladylike Activity! Ministry is also out in German, and it will publish in Italian and Polish in 2024. And its sequel, The Body in the Blitz, is out now in the UK and Ireland! A skilful blend of golden era crime novel and boarding school romp, with a winning central relationship between plump, anxious Hazel, a new girl who has arrived from Hong Kong, and the super-confident, blonde English rose Daisy Wells. The novel works both as an affectionate satire and an effective murder mystery, and Stevens can go places Enid Blyton never dreamt of ... Top class -- Susi Feay Financial Times Tragedy strikes very close to home, and this time Hazel isn't just the detective. She's been framed for murder.

Murder Most Unladylike is a 2014 children's mystery novel by British-American author Robin Stevens. It follows two schoolgirls in 1930s England solving their first murder mystery and is the first book in the 'Murder Most Unladylike' series. A sequel, Arsenic For Tea, was published seven months after Murder Most Unladylike. Since the first Murder Most Unladylike book, there have been ten subsequent books, along with four extra mini-books. In 2022, a new series, The Ministry of Unladylike Affairs was released, featuring characters related to those in the Murder Most Unladylike series.

When Hazel Wong's beloved grandfather passes away, Daisy Wells is all too happy to accompany her friend (and Detective Society Vice-President) to Hazel's family estate in beautiful, bustling Hong Kong. When Hazel Wong’s beloved grandfather passes away, Daisy Wells is all too happy to accompany her friend (and Detective Society Vice President) to Hazel’s family estate in beautiful, bustling Hong Kong. But when they arrive they discover something they didn’t expect: there’s a new member of the Wong family. Daisy and Hazel think baby Teddy is enough to deal with, but as always the girls are never far from a mystery. Tragedy strikes very close to home, and this time Hazel isn’t just the detective. She’s been framed for murder! Also on the SS Hatshepsut is a mysterious society called the Breath of Life: a group of genteel English ladies and gentlemen, who believe themselves to be reincarnations of the ancient pharaohs. And three days into the cruise, their leader is found dead in her cabin — having been stabbed during the night. Determined to get to the bottom of the crime before the killer strikes again Hazel and Daisy must hunt for evidence, spy on their suspects and use all the cunning and intuition they can muster. But will they succeed? And can their friendship stand the test? The first in a fabulous and exciting new detective series set during the 1930’s. Daisy Wells (not just a perfect English Miss) and Hazel Wong (astute and observant) have started a secret Detective Society at the Deepdene School for girls. The girls have a typical friendship, with some wonderful highs and sorrowful lows. After finding a dead body, which then disappears, the girls are racing to stay one step ahead and solve the clues. There is a clear and detailed map of the school at the front of the book which is really useful to follow as the girls start their adventure. There is a feel of the Famous Five about this charming book (yes it’s charming, even though there has been a murder). Robin Stevens sets all of the clues in motion, encouraging them to run riot, to cause mischief, they are all there though, can you solve the murder… can the girls solve the murder, before it’s too late? Wonderfully fast paced and set in a fascinating period, this is an entertaining and gripping read.Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong are taking a holiday on the world-famous Orient Express - and it’s clear that each of their fellow first-class passengers has something to hide. Even more intriguing: there is rumour of a spy in their midst. un pomeriggio come tanti alla scuola Deepdean, quando Hazel trova nella palestra il cadavere della signorina Bell, l’inflessibile insegnante di scienze.
