Description

I have a travel bottle of Kayali musk that I’ve layered under this and it really softens it up, lovely combination.

Just like its name Eternity moment is a long lasting fragrance. Without being too strong it stays on for 7+ hours (even more if layered). This is better as a room or bedding spray. My 62 year old mother doesn't like it either, neither of us are into fresh, light, overly floral, citrus or aquatic scents. I didn't realise she'd had a full bottle for ages that my brother bought her because she never uses it. Incredibly fresh, very green almost to the point of bitterness. White petals and pale green stems. It is crisp and proper and rather serious in its beauty. there’s a certain dignity to this scent that I believe is part of why it often gets called “mature”. It’s because it is not playful and it does not prioritise sweetness or even accessibility. which for some may seem incongruous with the concept of love but I understand what is being said with this fragrance. This flanker is very different from the original, one of those moments when you're like, 'why is this even a flanker?' But yes. It's floral. Then fruity. NOT a linear perfume. Changes a lot from initial spray to skin-scent dry down. There’s a quote by Joanna Newsom about her own marriage that I feel sums up the concept of this fragrance perfectly: I do think this could be worn by a man as well, and I’d love to try Eternity For Men as a comparison. we know this scent was created to represent a marriage, or rather the ideal of marriage and what it represents and as a conceptual fragrance I find it very successful. I like the choice of representing love as being steadfast and serious, beyond sweetness and frivolity, something earthy and immortal. This is a milestone fragrance, something to grace important days and events both joyous and sad. While it would naturally be appropriate for a wedding or an anniversary, there is something in its solemnity that is almost funereal. It makes me think of beautiful white mourning flowers. Lilies and casket satin. As odd as it may sound I believe this only adds to the romance of this fragrance, but more on that later.

Near the end, the fragrance relaxes into a creamier scent as the amber slowly begins to consume the sharp white florals. EternityforWomenAir. An uplifting, floral scent with grapefruit oil and sky of the sky accord. Cedarwood and musk tones add sexiness and seduction. I always feel that the original Eternity (and Air for that matter) is perfectly suited to the warmer months as it has a very cold, metallic, ozonic and green freshness to it, Eternity Moment is equally suited to the warmer months, daily casual wear and for the office. Unlike most shower gel type scents, Eternity moment does have quite good lasting power and a nice moderate silage, it will last from 8am till 5pm quite well and is strong enough to get some compliments but not enough that it will fumigate a room. The main notes are definitely the pink peony and the jasmine. It strarts with a burst of flowers, and as long as the time is passing by, a juicy raspberry appears, as well as litchi, and the aquatic nuances too (water lily and melon). The woods are there in the drydown, although they are not very present. This one is a winner for me. I love it. It is a particularly strong perfume. When I spray one spray, I get different notes than if I spray 3 sprays. With 3 sprays, I get almost a soapy vibe which I usually detest. After about half an hour, that fades. There's a burst of white sugar in the opening. It comes across as a strong floral fruity perfume with woods and resins. I was looking for a summer perfume that leaned more towards the floral fruity or floral aquatic family and this was amongst my choices along with D&G Imperatrice and Eternity NoW which I both know and adore but I decided to opt for this one for several reasons amongst whom the fact that is highly probable that is discontinued, the price/quantity ratio (I bought 100ml for 30 euros) and last but not least the excitement of a blind buy. I know that blind buys are always risky but for now I love taking risks at perfumes.

I was super excited to try Calvin Klein’s Eternity Moment since peony is one of my favorite florals and I have never smelled water lily in a fragrance before. That being said, this perfume is a major disappointment; it literally smells like the most generic drug store body spray you can imagine. It’s a brew of synthetic scents that leaves behind a very unpleasant odor of plastic and damp skin. The initial spray smells heavily of alcohol, then immediately simmers down to a peony opening with litchi and a hint of jasmine. The water lily gives this fragrance a fresh and bright floral composition which helps to bury the scent of plastic that eventually overwhelms me anyway. The dry down consists of sandalwood and Guava, which creates a very unusual accord similar to fruit that’s been sitting in a smoky room for way too long. I don’t smell cashmere woods, though the musk is a bit overwhelming and strangely out of place in this composition. Sillage is moderate on me, and longevity is decent (3-4 hours).

It's a very well blended flowery green, high on the fresia and with a green carnation that never bores. Other white flowers tht bring on a mellow warm comforting amber musk cozy drydown.
