Description

The book starts very promising and interesting. The main character is an unbelievably driven character with a very stupid name which my mind keeps translating into "Rancid Groundhog". The MC´s main motivation is to get stronger and meet/protect his two friends who he keeps mentioning all the time. Otherwise, he is not interested in human relations, interactions or living a life which makes him seem like a robot. He resembles a mixture of Sheldon Cooper and Karate Kid.

Tatiana received this class shortly after the appearance of the System. In chapter 573 this class had 33-34 level. Tatiana received this class for the reason that her old job was a little on the edge of the law. After the appearance of the System, Tatiana agreed with her class, but then this class wasn't enough for Tatiana's desires, which is why she agreed to change her class to the class Crooked Dagger. I liked the path system and the rewards for completing them. The Classes and even the possible skills though seemed like they were made up as needed. There should be a list of possible skills and have it limited by a clear and understandable rationale and logic. As the final hurdle to becoming accepted by the System, Randidly must lead a group of Zone 32's best into the Raid Dungeon and complete the assigned Quests. And what starts as a simple horde survival mission becomes complicated when the Creature begins meddling again with his Fate.Randidly Ghosthound felt lost and alone even before the System transformed the Earth. Before every person had to deal with the sudden presence of Levels, Skills, monsters, and the very real possibility of death... Tall, but not too tall. Athletic looking, but in a wiry way, with the long arms of a swimmer. Short, dark hair. Cold eyes the color sunlight on grass, a vivid, warm green that strangely filled you with a deep fear. He was wearing tan shorts and a brown shirt, with a satchel over his shoulder. His feet were bare and dirty, and it looked like he had been bleeding, because his left shoulder was stained red. Kimmen is talking about this class. In his words, this class was received by some of his soldiers when they were allowed to choose any class, rather than related to military affairs.

That makes 2 halves of a book that are both drawn out and pointless. This book was a lot of words with very little progress, and that was a big disappointment for me. Until this point, I think that this has been one of the stronger series in this sub-genre. However, it's starting to lose its way.

The other characters were all right. I think there was a good mix of people introduced throughout the book that all served a purpose. Some of them even seemed to have a bit of personality. I could have done without many of their pov’s though, especially later in the book when they were used to prop up a story arc that just wasn’t doing it for me. This class of spearman is considered low-grade in Tellus and gained by people who have not trained with a spear for a long time.
