Suspenseful, sexy, and with incredibly entertaining storytelling, the first in Yarros' Empyrean series will delight fans of romantic, adventure-filled fantasy." ― Booklist , starred review One generation to change the text. One generation to choose to teach that text. The next grows, and the lie becomes history." Alright, so the scene. She’s going towards the armoire right? But he says “you can leave them there”. To which she replies that she wouldn’t snoop not like she hasn’t seen it all. So I’m wondering if we will get to know what he was thinking in that moment? Like, would we know a little about his internal struggle? That he’s not telling Violet about the weapons and how he’s helping flyers fight against venin? Ich kann den Hype nun wirklich zu 100% verstehen und möchte diese Geschichte nie mehr missen!🖤 Yet, with every day that passes, the war outside grows more deadly, the kingdom’s protective wards are failing, and the death toll continues to rise. Even worse, Violet begins to suspect leadership is hiding a terrible secret.

With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother’s daughter―like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant. The last couple of things about this world: I liked this very brutal and monstruous world that the author has created, the magical school setting was a superb element, especially since we actually got to see our characters go to class and stuff which never felt too boring, as it was included just enough to actually show the readers that these people are actually going to class in a school.

And don’t get me started on the horny dragons. Yes, many readers of Fourth Wing that found it via BookTok will be too young to remember the Dragonriders of Pern series by Ann McCaffrey, but it’s not an original idea, and if you’re going to do it, at least commit to how non-consensual it is like Dragonflight did. Once you’ve started building up an an interesting book collection, you’re bound to start noticing special editions on other peoples shelves. Where do people find these gems, you wonder? Maybe they talk about getting them through exclusive (albeit expensive) book clubs like Illumicrate or FairyLoot, or maybe they are investing in beautiful (although yet again, expensive) publishers like Folio Society or Easton Press. Alongside new friends and her loyal companion Dain, Violet navigates treacherous obstacles and dangerous rivalries within the college, including her strained relationship with Wingleader Xaden Riorson, whose father played a role in her brother’s death. Without revealing too much, Violet and Xaden’s journey takes them through deadly physical challenges, tactical training, and a growing bond that evolves from enemies to lovers. The romance unfolds gradually, and is grounded in the complexities of shared loss and unexpected circumstances. In breve si resta incuriositi dalle dinamiche di questo mondo, dalla presenza dei draghi e dal lato romance (per chi è più attento a questo aspetto).

Then, the big revelation, did not come as a revelation at all, as I knew it would happen from the start (if u read enough books, you will be able to spot the patterns and the direction of the story) , and did not buy into its delivery. A fantasy like you've never read before.” —Jennifer L. Armentrout, #1 New York Times bestselling author And I mean dragons! The appeal of these mythological creatures is fascinating. Perhaps because they're imaginary, we love the different iterations of dragons throughout various literature and media. Fourth Wing's dragons are some of the best I've come across, from the varieties and their discerning qualities to their ability and willingness to bond to humans. Plus, the bond enables a psychic connection with their riders. These dragons are so well done. I applaud Rebecca Yarros for her imagination and vivid depictions in bringing them all to life. The male lead, Xaden Riorson (I must say, a pretty cliched fantasy romance lead name if there ever was one), was superficially hot. As in, I absolutely was convinced he was very sexy – Violet could only seem to think about that any time she was in a five mile radius of him – but not convinced that she fell in love with him. Where was the actual bonding (dragons aside)? I loved how her crush on Dain developed (best bit of character development in the book actually), but falling in love with Xaden was more like… just falling in lust, really. On both sides. Liam! I am so sad that we lost Liam. I cried so much when all of that happened. I was hoping so way that Violet could freeze time like she could with Adarna but I never did. Not only did she lose a great friend, but Xaden also lost a brother. It was so sad. I'm definitely going to miss his character. Rebecca Yarros's Fourth Wing kept me up at night whispering "one more chapter" until suddenly the sun was rising—and even then I still couldn't bring myself to stop. Utterly immersive, fiercely romantic, and unforgivably addictive, this book is a spectacular masterpiece and my new fantasy obsession.” —Lynette Noni, Australia's #1 young adult fiction author Hi, hello, and OMG. Rebecca Yarros just confirmed the release of a new special edition for Fourth Wing. Err, are you excited? Because I’m super excited.

But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away…because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them. With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother's daughter - like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant. House of the Dragonmeets Divergent in this utterly thrilling, unputdownable new fantasy!' AMALIE HOWARDBecause Violet knows the real secret hidden for centuries at Basgiath War College―and nothing, not even dragon fire, may be enough to save them in the end. The author took her time to build up their chemistry with banter, flirting and some damn good deep and emotional moments, and she gifted us two mindblowing naughty scenes that were incredibly well written and never felt like too much for a fantasy book. Questo romance fantasy creato da Rebecca Yarros, primo a quanto pare di una serie lunga cinque volumi, ha parecchi difetti e alcuni più difficili da ignorare di altri. We are so thrilled to present to you… the ‘Fourth Wing’ Exclusive Edition, brought to you in collaboration with Piatkus ( @yourswithlovex) and @rebeccayarros!
