Anyway, why is f1 the pinnacle of Motorsport when for example 24h of Le Mans or the Nürnbergring is much more demanding for drivers and machines? I found it to be the kind of book that you can put into the hands of someone who's never heard of Formula 1 or someone who watches every race and both would find something interesting or learn something new. Simon Arron and Tony Dodgins have identified the 100 most significant changes to the series since its inception in 1950. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds. Maybe more of a Pinnacle of "X" thing for each series and checking to see which ticks the most boxes.

This review is for the book Formula One: The Pinnacle: The pivotal events that made F1 the greatest motorsport series (Volume 3). Along with changes to circuits and the technology of the cars, this book highlights the commercial changes and the controversies that threatened to split the sport apart – such as the threat of breakaway series proposed at various times by teams. You can easily discern the breadth and depth of the material yourself using the Look Inside feature of the Product Description, which gives a limited but accurate indication of the book’s contents. No one would settle for WEC Champion or Australian Supercars champion, Indy Cars Champion, Japanese Super Formula Champion or Formula E Champion if they had a realistic shot at the F1 title. Number 5 is about safety and how this has evolved over the years and was a really interesting part of the book. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. Keeping the same comparison, association football is more reputable than gaelic football and the FIFA World Cup is more reputable than the All-Ireland but the All-Ireland is still the pinnacle of that sport. Along with changes to circuits and the technology of the cars, this book highlights the commercial changes and the controversies that threatened to split the sport apart - such as the threat of breakaway series proposed at various times by teams.

The book will link technical progress with the personalities involved, indeed many of the swiftest changes have come about as a result of accidents or tragedies — the death of Roland Ratzenberger at Imola in 1994, the same weekend as Ayrton Senna, could have been avoided by the HANS safety device. Technical changes aimed at levelling the playing field for the teams combined with the sport's tightening budget cap will make the races closer than ever. Motorsport is such a broad all encompassing term with different skill sets required to be successful in the varying disciplines (which makes it all the more impressive when someone is successful in multiple disciplines). Along with changes to circuits and the technology of the cars, this book highlights thecommercial changes and the controversies that threatened to split the sport apart – such as the threat of breakaway series proposed at various times by teams.

F1 is higher on the chain, even if in pure motorsport terms to a fan they're obviously different paths. Nobody said F1 was the best motorsport, but it's just a fact that it's the highest you can go in terms of prestige, overall money involved, attraction, importance etc. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). The second chapter is dedicated to the circuit tracks that are mainly used but it really only details 6 of them here plus talking about night racing.
