Description

This is a story about how she comes to terms with the growing recognition that she is a hoarder and her struggle to navigate, not just dating as someone with an uncomfortable amount of things, but exploring her bisexuality for the first time. Verity Standen’s music accompanies the character’s emotional world and the simple set avoids literalism. As she is challenged by Jo to stop pretending, her parents are supportive and the moment when things begin to change comes from an unexpected direction.

An altogether intriguing, sympathetic, and engaging exploration of a difficult and challenging problem.Based on Laura’s real-life experiences, the work is a dark, magical story about trying to escape a world you’ve spent a lifetime carefully building.

I got Arts Council funding for this on my fifth attempt after a year and a half of applying which has now run out, so I turned it into a CIC, but I just don’t have time to try and get funding for it. I could never find anything, much of it didn’t fit as I’d bought things in the hope I’d slim into them eventually. It does matter and makes a difference to the quality of the audience experience, that at least two of the team have experience of living with challenging conditions. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. The large-handed tree surgeon’s anti-climatic fling with her best friend, the angry Naval guy and the avant garde self-professed mime artist who made his own socks are things of the past and so Sophie dares to admit that it is time to accept her bisexuality and date a woman. When a secret she’s keeping from those she loves, and even from herself, threatens to unravel it all, she must make a choice.
