The final story in this collection is `One Hate' by Aaron Dembski-Bowden which although good is something of a retread of `And They Shall Know No Fear. So a Black Legion's Scaevolla has a grudge against the imperial fists and so he hunts and kills them. Oh there is the inclusion of Huron BlackHeart the Tyrant and it was interesting to see that every chaos space marines present on that reunion bow to him.

Castellan Reinhart and his warriors arrive on the world, greeted by representatives of the Inquisition and the Sisters of Battle. Young men take part in a Chaotic ritual that they don't truly understand, but one thing is for certain: the only victors will be the traitorous Night Lords. If you read the Ultramarines omnibus then this book contains one story which is more ore less the introduction to possible sequel (The Skull Harvest).

Freunde des Chaos werden das Buch mögen, für Leser, die alle Aspekte von WH40K mögen ist es wohl ok, aber Astartes fans rate ich die Finger davon zu lassen.

I do like that the main character is one of the potential recruits and the conflict within the Night Lords force is also nicely done. Is the future of the beleaguered Chapter more important than the hate of the foe that provides their honour? What makes it so effective is that you can't blame them for doing what they did, making the ending all the more somber.Was ich sehr schlecht fand war der Titel, denn: Dieses Buch ist im Grunde vor allem etwas für Leser, die den Imperator hassen! Heroes of the Space Marines is an anthology of stories about these brave champions and their dark counterparts, the Chaos Space Marines. The characters are good, especially Chaplin Argo who is a nice departure from the usual fire and brimstone Chaplains that you usually get.
